Last week we found a number of pairs of the Nike Air Tech Challenge Hybrid on eBay but did not have a definite word on release elsewhere, this morning they dropped on nikestore.com.
Tennis great, Andre Agassi’s shoe, the Nike Air Tech Challenge was one of Nike’s hottest models back in the late 80’s and early 90’s and was even embraced by those with no appreciation whatsoever for tennis. There were four Air Tech Challenge models released between 1989 and 1992 and now the most recognizable attributes of each have all been combined into one shoe that pays homage to the entire line.
We showed you another colorway of the Air Tech Challenge Hybrid a few months back, but this one seems to do it even more justice in terms of trying to capture the look of all four. You can immediately pick out the Lava graphics from the ATC II, the wavy Volt Yellow section from the ATC III and the wildly colorful heel from the ATC IV, but you’ll have to look closer to find other retro inclusions in this hybrid design. Thanks sugaray for the heads up.
