The latest Nike SB Dunks have been decried for depicting the lack of what had been a signature element: the puffy tongue. Speculation abounds as to whether these pictures are just samples or if Nike is using a new, superiour cushioning system. Either way, the latest lowcut from Beaverton’s skate division is a real throwback. Featuring the beloved puffy tongue and perforations on the toe and side panels that evoke 2005’s Gino Iannucci-designed ‘Band Aids’, the Nike SB Dunk Low Premium pictured above looks to be a hit for the coming warmth. The perforated sections, tongue, midsole and collar are done in white with bone-coloured leather offering a tonal accent. Whether this represents a reversion to the puffy tongue is a mystery, but these gumsoled beauties are available for pre-order with a March 28th release from Arktz. They’re likely to sell out, so you can also try Chapter or Breaker.
