Airwalk Prototype 600°F

Now that we are seeing the come back of the super high top skateboarding sneaker, the originator returns to make sure that everyone remembers who started all this. In the 1980s Airwalks were worn by some of the Worlds top skateboarders including Tony Hawk, and today’s ‘My Name is Earl’ star, and yesterday’s street skating pioneer, Jason Lee. However, when the brand was sold in the mid 90s, the new ownership pushed Airwalk in a different direction that eventually lost favor with the skateboarding market. Recently rumors have been swirling about Jeff Staple playing a part in the resurrection of the once skateboarding champion, and today Airwalk is making its grand re-entrance with the return of the Airwalk Prototype 600°F. One of the original super high top skateboarding shoes released in the 80’s. The Airwalk Prototype 600°F boast a huge and almost indestructible upper featuring many skate friendly features that have gone by the wayside. The side panel and heel of the shoe feature rubber reinforced protection to prevent those nagging and inevitable ollie holes. The rest of the upper is mostly leather or suede with a lacing system that promises to take you as high as your willing to go. On the side panel we see the return of Airwalks mascot, Ollie in his famous ‘airwalk’ pose. It wont be long before the Airwalk Prototype 600°F once again goes down in the history books. Only 144 pairs will be released per colorway. The Info: The Hundreds
