New Balance x Optimystik x mita – A03

New Balance x Optimystik x mita – A03

Sneakerheads have taken notice of New Balance’s hybrid boots for Winter 2008, including Kanye west.  In reference to the WRC576P Tonal Pack, Yeezy said on his blog “Yo, I [like] these!!!”  In truth, Mr. West’s endorsement was a tad :ahem: stronger (pun intended) than what we will post here, but don’t be surprised if you find yourself in the same frame of mind when you see these.

NB commissioned Optimystik to do a special A03 for mita sneakers for this season, and the Japanese fashion label perfectly fuses their propensity for bright and shiny palates with this old bball kick turned boot. Metal eyelets and hooks on the top, corded laces, shearling lining and the mountain embroidered on the tongue tag all give the impression of a rugged all-terrain boot, while the golden tongue and bright blue wrapped from side panel to side panel remind us that this is no slouch on stylishness.

The other pair is done in silver rather than gold, and though it’s relatively calm compared to the blue and gold joints, the grey wool and faux-irridescent “N” on the side panels will help you steal a few glances.   Both are ready for pre-order now at mita set to ship on Saturday, December 13.
