With the NBA season in full swing, all the Jordan Brand players are definitely getting their fair share of heated signature shoes and player exclusives.  Up next is Carmelo Anthony’s fifth signature shoe the Air Jordan Melo M5, which is a shoe designed for one of the quickest and agile players in the game, so you can bet money it will be a shoe with some sweet performance assets.  The new Melo M5 is a shoe that is made to go along with Carmelo’s deft ability to play every position on the court, hence the M5.  The Melo M5 Is featured in an all plack colorway for the this particular drop with a black sole, a black patent leather toebox, a nubuck upper with a silver jumpman on the side of the ankle.

What stands out in this Jordan Brand signature shoe is how well it incorporates several of Michael Jordan’s signature series.  The AJ XI is clearly present in the patent leather curved toe patent leather, the heel tab looks very similar to the one seen on the AJ VI, and the AJ XV’s are borrowed for some of the heel’s shape.  The AJ XX3 seems to inspiration for a lot of the upper, and all in all you can tell that Melo had a lot to do with putting some of his favorite Jordans into his own shoe.  These will be available in Jordan Brand dealers nationwide on November 22nd for $125.  via NiceKicks
