Nike Dunk High Premium - Ultimate Glory - De La Hoya - Chavez

The above Dunk High Premium pays tribute to one of the most famous matches in boxing history and was at the time billed as the “Ultimate Glory” on June 7th, 1996 between Oscar De La Hoya and the reigning WBC Light Welterweight Champion Julio César Chávez. The red of the Dunk makes references to the amount of blood that De La Hoya drew out of Chávez’s left eye brow in round 1 which ultimately decided the victory as the referee stopped the flight during round 4 and awarded the the victory to De La Hoya. The upper features red elephant pattern, a special “Ultimate Glory” tongue tag, 2 and 0 embroidered on each shoe. They should hit retailers this coming week as some European retailers including Overkill already have them. Via Freshness
