The Nike Cortez was Nike’s first iD product six years ago, it got a renewal this past weekend as part of Nike iD Studio’s Fall 2008 collection of sneakers, colors and material options. The two other models include the Air Max 90 and the Dunk High and Low and all three share the options of premium leathers with up to twelve colors to choose from, including distressed metallic gold, silver and bronze. In addition to the leathers, a second option is a floral jaquard in white or black for use on the body. Each of the models are also used as a canvas for heros of the Olympics, the Cortez can also be customized with a stylized version of the Union Jack which is similar to a shoe British long-distance runner Paula Radcliffe wore during her Olympic run. Although Radcliffe did not take home gold, she did finish at a heroic 23rd place after suffering from a stress fracture to her left thigh. All these options are now available at Nike iD Studios worldwide.
