Nike Air Yeezy – A Closer Look

Nike Air Yeezy Sole Collector 1

New details around the much hyped and talked about Nike and Kanye West collaboration have come to light and as much as we hate to be the bearer of bad news for some of you sneakerheads out there, the Nike Air Yeezy will not be coming to retail at any time soon and will only be found in Kanye’s Size 12. Thanks to Sole Collector we now have the story behind the shoe and some closer images of a few colorways. As a direct result of Nike CEO, Mark Parker’s wishes to closer bridge the gap between sneakers and artists, Kanye West was invited to create an original Nike shoe inspired by some of his favorite sneakers such as the Air Jordan III and V as well as high fashion, fat tongue, and premium leather sneakers. The result of months of work with some of Nike’s best designers from their Innovation Kitchen, the Air Yeezy came to light when Kanye debuted them during his performance at the Grammy’s and as he continued to rock new colorways through his Glow in the Dark Tour. Unfortunately though, it’ll probably be some time before Nike reconsiders releasing these hot commodity’s, so in the meantime enjoy these new pictures and cross your fingers that these sneakers come out. via Sole Collector
